It all started when I was thirteen sitting in my eighth grade english class... just kidding!

But not really, this was the first situation as a young women that I would have needed a spare pair of underwear. Unfortunately and fortunately, there would be  many more times in my adult life where I would wish I had another pair of underwear to change into.

As women, we leak... that's just the cold hard truth. One in four women pee a little when they sneeze, so you see it's nothing to be ashamed of! But it would be better if there was a solution to our incontinence situations. Which is why Spare Pair Underwear was born!

I was sitting at work one day and even in my late 20's, got a visit from aunt flow a little early. It was then that I thought to myself, why can't I go and buy a single pair of underwear at the local convenience store? I can buy panty hose, depends, and other feminine hygiene products, but not underwear? This was when I decided that I was going fix this issue.

But there was something weighing on my mind. I didn't want to create just another product that would end up in one of our landfills (especially after one use). And offering an honest and eco-friendly option, was the only option. This is why it took us two years to create a biodegradable underwear and plant-based resealable pouch.

Since launching this product, it's also been important to me to create a sense of support and community around women's health, bodies positivity, and women's issues. Creating conversations around these topics on our social media platforms is something we enjoy doing and I would love for you to join!
